not that i need to justify writing a blog entry :) but i’m just pleased as punch that the S E B Current Listener Map is showing active connections to the stream from all far-flung parts of the world.
at the moment (4p PST Sun Mar 02 02008) i have a listener in; Alaska, Hawaii, Peru, what looks to me to be either Senegal or Guinea, both coasts of Australia, and on New Zealand. this, on top of my usual clusters in North America, Western Europe & Russia, and the multi-listener forest that is the Tokyo metroplex.
it’s so wonderful that this music is now accessible to so many people, and that the bandwidth infrastructure to support it continues to expand
