yes, my hosting company (New Era Streaming) warned me this was coming, but i didn’t really pay attention. bleah
the IP address of the primary S E B server has changed, as of 02008-Aug-01. the new DNS entry is as follows. Shoutcast YP tends to resolve that to the physical IP regardless of what i do, but you can manually change your bookmark, etc:
- alpha.newerastreaming.com:8096 (use this, preferably)
- 68.87.76.178:8096
sorry about the interruption in your blissful peace-out & contentment. believe me, i’m having to make last-minute updates to config in several places. including my historical blog posts, which will now reflect the New Reality
resume your enjoyment!
Thanks for all the wonderful moods you provide.

Been a fan for years from Philly – thank you so so much for all the great work you do to bring our brains closer to Nirvana :)

From Michel, another fan since apr. 05, here in Switzerland … still listening, frightened that your stream might disappears one day or another.
And enjoying a LOT.
But now that’s exactly the problem since several days : all 3 streams seem to be dead:
alpha.newerastreaming.com:8096 (no stream at all)
http://68.87.76.178:8096 (no stream at all)
http://pq.cacamou.info:8000 (“empty” stream with some “screech” sound every 5min or so)
Just hoped to inform you !
PS
“pq.cacamou” is a bad word joke in french … are you aware about that ? is pun intended ? lol
Bye, thanks!

yep. a newer post explains the ongoing issue. it’ll all get resolved once I complete the commute back from Burning Man (which has taken 18 hours, and still counting)
